Overall product has significantly improved (and continues to iterate) along with Zenefits' support and engagement. Doesn't provide Org Charts. Customer Service hasn't until recently been helpful in resolving issues (this has dramatically improved). Reporting is limited.

Zenefits portal provides easy on-boarding of new employees. This is important when you can be on-boarding 50-100 new employees in a day. It also allows management access to important HR information and the ability to view all relevant employee information in one place. The interface between Zenefits and third party payroll systems needs significant work. Most of our overhead employee support is around the payroll interface. Validating and cleaning up date being sent from Zenefits to our payroll system.

Zenefits has been a great way for a small business, like us, to ease into technology. It has really great and helpful tools, the cost is far less than alternative options, and their customer support is usually excellent. It has helped cut down benefits paperwork tremendously, kept us ACA compliant, streamlined our hiring process, and we were able to customize other areas (such as documents) to help us track policies & trainings. We're still finding ways to be able to customize it to work for our company. So with all of the options we use and new ways we are able to customize it, the cost continues to go down once it's all factored into the equation. Zenefits is a fast moving company, so sometimes changes come fast and furious. They usually are good changes, so that helps ease the burden. However, sometimes it can feel like I just learned how to use something and then it changes. But I guess that's also just the new normal. Other than lots of changes, I really don't have a lot of cons. When I come across issues, I contact a customer service rep and things are usually taken care of. I'm sure there are little things I would tweak here and there, but nothing significant that would make me not recommend using this product.

We've been using the Zenefits platform for over two years and are big fans. We've slowly been incorporating more features - such as vacation time and sick time and have had great experiences with all of them. Our staff love the smooth onboarding process and our managers love being able to access their staff documents all in one place. As an admin that needs to periodically look up information on salaries, addresses, etc, it's so great to have easy access. We've had issues with supervisors being able to access information for their employees and hope this can get resolved asap.

We have had consistent issues with Zenefits communicating between payroll and benefits systems. There is a continual requirement to audit benefit selections, payroll deductions and personal information as it flows between systems. Our largest issue is related to support availability. The support group is located in PST and maintains hours as if all clients are located in that time zone. We find ourselves waiting to get the attention of anyone until 11:00 EST for most problems.

Zenefits was a great solution for my company when we were 1 - 60 people. Once things got complex, I feel like it made more sense to move to an HRIS where employment information was easier to track and update. However, for the cost and functionality, it definitely helped our company at an early stage. - easy to use UI - straight forward - gets everything you need done - completes background checks and a place for all employee information - not super robost - the customer service is helpful for quick things but anything in depth they take a few days to get back to you - not supportive once you get over 100 employees (better off hiring a full-time HR person to manage all the stuff zenefits does)

Love this software overall! Easy to use and getting better all the time! The product team is very receptive to customer input and very willing to add features as requested. Simple and very fast onboarding process in which the Admin enters basic information and a link is sent to the new hire to complete all the necessary personal info. Super easy I-9 verification and document storage. Excellent COBRA administration. The Document Storage functionality does not meet my need. Currently (a change from how it was previously done) there is no upload functionality, it's a copy & paste process. The result is a loss of integrity in the document due to complex embedded formatting in our legal documents.

Very easy to use, and the customer support is on point. Whenever I needed to view paychecks, adjust tax deduction, look up info, etc. everything was always very clear and easy to find.
