Nice idea but the service is certainly lacking. Feels like they just want to sign up as many employers as possible but the follow through is just not there. Health Insurance was delayed a month. Biweekly payrolls now take 4-5 hrs vs 1 due to having to double check everyone. If you have more than 5 employees this system may not be for you.

Employee onboarding is ideal. Employees fill out all their own forms online. There have been some hiccups, but it's worlds better than paper pushing. Their support representatives are youthful and earnest, and really go the extra mile for you. They respond to emails on the weekends, but they can be a bear to get a hold of. That example being a vice as much as a virtue. You get what you pay for. All Zenefits' basic features are free, so if you're looking for the same services that other providers offer at zero cost, then Zenefits is an easy choice - although they don't work with everybody. You'll have to talk to them to see if they'll even take you as a customer. They made it seem like they usually try to find some way to make it work.

Before Zenefits, I was using array spreadsheets and Word documents to manage our many HR processes, and it would take hours to onboard someone. Now it literally takes less than two minutes, and we have all our employee data synced across payroll, health benefits, disability benefits, and PTO. We got great advice from Zenefits as we moved to a group health insurance plan and also to a new short term and long term disability plan. The software is great. It's free and has greatly simplified our processes, which results in simplifying my life. Super happy. Their customer service can sometimes be slower than I'd like. Do a basic check to make sure they can integrate with your existing infrastructure (payroll for instance), and if they don't, I'd consider changing platforms so everything can be centralized. We changed our infrastructure to work with Zenefits, and as a result, we have a really nice and easy setup for HR management.

The best thing is that it is seamless. I have to spend very little time managing benefits for the team. They have done an excellent job preparing everything and making it "one click". Customer support is quick and effective. The one thing I would improve is having very clear reporting regarding the actual costs of health benefits and who they are paid for. The reports are not clear and could be improved. Decide what is important to you in a solution provider.

They are tackling an archaic process with modern technology, and sometimes those two things conflict. When it goes wrong, their support has been great in getting issues resolved. Every business has their own needs. I needed a low cost option to speed up my day to day operations, and Zenefits is living up to the task.

Interface is very user-friendly, and the customer service is the best! It took multiple phone calls to set up, but since everything has been implemented, it's been great. This was a great move for our small company, which doesn't have a dedicated HR manager. It is easy to use no matter what your background, and everyone at Zenefits is always responsive and willing to help out in any way.

The onboarding feature is pretty neat. I need to deal with way less paperwork now (health insurance forms, payroll forms, etc.). It took a little while to implement the product, but nothing too bad. It was worth the wait. Well, you can't beat the cost (free). If you're still doing a lot of your HR manually or are still filling in a ton of paperwork, I'd highly recommend them. Renewal was also a lot easier this time around. I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't get this, to be honest.
