Avoid this fake company at all costs. They are a risk to your business.

This is a company based in India using a serviced office address in London with no physical presence or employees.

Company's House shows the company is not financially stable and had been applied to be struck off.

The number advertised on their website never reaches anyone you can talk to, it just drops the call every time. The only way to reach them is through the chat facility.

When attempting to change a basic MX record to redirect my mail to Microsoft Exchange, the people on the chat facility had very poor technical knowledge and were not able to follow simple instructions to change records.

One person called Thomas, seemed rude, unhelpful, very slow and just left the chat box with no warning. I was not rude in any way, so there was no justification.

Another technical person called Callum contradicted Thomas. A third person called Jacob also contradicted the other two.

None of the technical contacts could enter the basic information I repeatably cut and paste into the chat box, directly from Microsoft o365.

The technical contacts English was poor and I suspect given fake European names to give confidence.

I strongly suspect the positive reviews in Trustpilot are fake as this company is absolutely not fit for purpose as a web or domain host.

In the end, I realised the business risk these fraudsters posed after our mail migration wasn't resolved by Monday so I transferred the web hosting and DNS hosting to TSO Host who I've relied on for many years with my other business. In a few hours the website, name servers and DNS management was completely migrated, running and correctly configured with TSO Host.

Do NOT believe the fake reviews about this company and don't waste your money or risk your business on this fraudsters who need to be investigated and shutdown.

I have recently moved to WebHost as a host for my client's websites. Two of the main issues with my previous host (1and1) were the slow response times and the somewhat cumbersome client portal that hasn't seen major upgrades over the last 9 years. Although 1and1 has been fairly solid, they have also grown too big and as a result struggle with customer services (even for business users). I noticed that the US i-Page has similar problems after a quick trial this month (I did get my money back). So far WebHost has answered all my questions and solved every single issue (even small ones) immediately ... that builds trust. I can get on with my work without having to wait days for answers and having to explain this to anxious clients. cPanel is a wonderful tool once you find your way and prices at WebHost are also very acceptable for a small business. Give them a whirl and find out for yourself.

I use these guys for my reseller account - and recommend them to my clients, and co-workers. I have used other bigger firms (even some international ones), with the same or similar services and they left a bad taste a lot of the time. In the past, with other suppliers, support tickets have been open for weeks, sometimes. It's not on if you have paying clients, who rely on their websites. With regards to WebHostUK, nothing beats the speed at which these guys deal with support/tech issues. I have NEVER posted a support ticket, as their live support is available, quick, effective and there has never been a time where my problem wasn't resolved. Great service, Great customer support, and competitively priced!

I will start by saying that I am on a shared server, Webhost.uk.net used to be a decent company at one time and I personally have been a customer for almost three years now and to say that they have become the worst hosting partner is an understatement to say the least. Over the past six months I have had nothing but problems and the non-English support is patchy at best, if you get someone who actually knows what they are doing then you will be fine but if you end up with one of the ones that doesn't speak English all that well then lord help you honestly and when I am telling them that a server is down their response is simply a joke. It has become apparent to me that they are a customer of someone else and they have some large VPS that they have sliced and that is what you are buying which is all well and good (the prices are low I will give them that) but when things go bad they haven't got a clue how or why and it is a tad concerning when a web servers file permissions have been changed and they cannot tell you who or when it was done they just seem to shrug their shoulders and tell their customer "tuff we don't know who did it" they change your password at the drop of the hat rather than workout what has gone on. I have calculated that I have lost in excess of 30 hours in the last month alone sorting out issues and that is money I have now decided that I will not lose again and I am going to get myself a VPS of my own you can pick them up for as little as £9.99 a month with people like 123-reg or 1&1 and yes you do not get the friendly cPanel but you do get more access and a lot more stability.

So far, so good. Needed support quite late at night and I had them on live chat within minutes. Only downfall I can see at the moment is the minimum plan only has 4GB transfer bandwidth, and this includes your FTP'ing, so if you are developing your site directly onto the server, this can be eaten away quite quickly. However, they have said that they can reset the counter if necessary. The logs show a different between FTP and HTML bandwidth, so assume if they see 90% of the bandwidth has gone to FTP they'll understand that that was for development/site maintenance which is unavoidable. Time will tell tho on that.

I have been a customer with Webhost.uk for a few years now, and whilst I am always impressed with the service when it works, there have been a number of issues this year with poorly maintained hardware that culminated in 3 days (so far) of down time for me and my customers. Issues that should take minutes to solve have taken hours and days so far. The live chat support is often unresponsive, with agents disappearing for 10-15 minutes at a time and then responding with "please update your ticket" and "you will be updated soon". The support tickets are handled quickly but badly, where I often have to make multiple requests for the same issue to be resolved.

I am certain that support is not handled in the UK as the English-speaking abilities of some of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. This has posed a number of problems with ensuring the speedy resolution of faults when they have occured.

Owing to the latest down time (which has been going on for 3 days, due to a critical hardware failure on the server) I am leaving Webhost.UK to find a more reliable and responsive host.

I had a forum on another web host that was to large to remain on the servers that they offered. I spoke with Web Host UK who said there would be no problems with transferring the website over and they would do it.

I received notice by email from Web Host UK i.e. UK Dedicated Limited that the website was transferred. A quick inspection took place and it looked fine. The website was up and subsequently the other account was closed.

It became apparent that when using the website a lot of its functions were not working correctly. I emailed Web Host UK i.e. UK Dedicated Limited to notify of such and then the weeks of endless back and forth emails started.

Some 5 weeks later one of their tech guys tried an upgrade to the software which left the website vulnerable to hackers and spammers. Within minutes my account was blocked and could not even access my Admin account on the website as it had been took over by some one else.

This website had over 5000 members on and page traffic of plus 2.5 million hits per month and was climbing in Google page rank very quickly. But it was to vulnerable to allow continuing even after I had it checked by another professional.

There is now another scenario that has become apparent in the last couple of days and I will post about this in due course, but If you was thinking that Web Host UK was a good option for you and you was thinking of transferring your websites to them I would think again.

I would not recommend this company, I am not a competitor and this is a genuine post from an aggrieved customer.

Absolutely terrible, worst hosting company we have ever used. We paid for a years ecommerce hosting in June. I should have known when it took them four days to sort out the dns, from there it just got worse. The site kept going offline and all tech support could say was "check your network, the site is up" Not when colleagues and customers from all over the UK and USA were telling me it was down.

Then scripts stopped working, our search.asp took the site offline for half an hour when anyone used it. Then we were told not to run an update script that has run on thousands of servers worldwide because it was "putting an abnormal load on the server" The final straw came the other day when our gbaselister.asp script stopped working and while I was talking to them about it in their live chat, the site lost a weeks orders, I downloaded the database and it had been noticeably altered from the backup I had taken an hour earlier.

All the staff have very British sounding names but one conversation with them and the broken English stands out. I don't care where people hail from, I just want them to do their job so why the subterfuge?

Get your hosting from these people at your peril, it's ok having someone there 24/7, not so good when they know nowt!
