Setting up user roles from scratch is where TruckingOffice won me over. Two years into managing a mid-sized dispatch department, I've built out permission structures for drivers, dispatchers, and billing staff, and the configuration side is genuinely clean. Each role gets sensible access boundaries, onboarding a new dispatcher takes maybe twenty minutes, and I've never had a situation where someone accidentally touched data they shouldn't have. For a cloud tool aimed at small operators, the admin controls punch above their weight.
The one gripe I keep coming back to: there's no bulk-edit option when you need to update permissions across a dozen users at once. You do it one profile at a time, which gets tedious fast. Customer support has been helpful when I've raised it, but the feature still isn't there after two years of asking. Small frustration in an otherwise solid admin experience. If your department is growing and you need tight control over who sees what, this platform handles it well.
