Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Rand McNally scores well on seamless integrations and user experience, though customer support lags. A mid-market fleet operator praised how cleanly the platform connects ELD data, telematics, and fuel management systems without manual handoffs—a rarity among competitors. The OverDrive interface won users over quickly, and setup, while requiring some effort with integration documentation, delivered solid results after about a week. The main drawback is customer service response time, with one user waiting nearly four days for technical answers during a critical onboarding phase. For operations already managing multiple vendors, the out-of-the-box connectivity appears to justify the tradeoff, though teams needing fast support responses may want to factor in that delay.

“Somewhere in my second month with Rand McNally's platform, I…”
Somewhere in my second month with Rand McNally's platform, I realized the thing I kept bragging about to my dispatcher was how cleanly it connects with the other tools our fleet department already runs. The ELD data flows into our TMS without me manually exporting anything, and the telematics feed talks to our fuel management system in a way our old setup never could. For a mid-market operation juggling multiple vendors, that kind of out-of-the-box connectivity is genuinely rare. Setup took maybe a week of back-and-forth with their integration docs, but once it clicked, it clicked.
My one real gripe is customer service response time. I had a configuration question about the API connection and waited almost four days for a substantive reply. Not terrible, but noticeable when you're trying to move fast in the first few months. The navigation features themselves are solid, and the OverDryve interface is intuitive enough that my drivers adapted quickly. Overall I'd put this squarely in the "worth it" column, especially if integrations are a priority for your department.
