Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
McLeod Software scales reliably as teams grow, but custom reporting requires outside help. The platform handles load management and permissions well, with new dispatchers ramping up quickly and flexible access controls that protect data integrity. Core dispatch and order management workflows stay stable even as headcount increases, which matters for fast-growing operations. The main friction point is custom reportingβbuilt-in reports cover standard needs, but anything beyond that demands either a steep learning curve or a support call. Support is responsive and knowledgeable, so the issue isn't abandonment, just that dashboard customization isn't self-serve. For teams prioritizing solid operational scaling over dashboard autonomy, the platform delivers; for those needing independent reporting flexibility, expect to invest time or rely on support.

βScaling a TMS across a team that's doubled in headcountβ¦β
Scaling a TMS across a team that's doubled in headcount over two years is a stress test for any platform. McLeod held up. New dispatchers get oriented faster than I expected, the permissions structure is flexible enough that I can give people exactly the access they need without handing over the keys to everything, and the load management workflow doesn't fall apart when you add more hands to it. That matters when you're growing fast and don't have time to babysit a fragile system.
My one real gripe is the reporting side. The built-in reports cover the basics, but anything custom requires either patience or a call to their support team. The support team is responsive and knows the product, so it's not a dealbreaker. Still, I'd like to configure my own dashboards without needing help every time. If you're evaluating this for a growing operation, the core dispatch and order management functionality is genuinely solid. Just budget some time for the reporting learning curve.
