Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Know Why handles survey configuration and permission controls well enough to earn a solid recommendation from this non-profit user. The platform lets teams set up distinct survey flows for different departments and assign granular access levels—useful when you need team leads reviewing their own data without seeing everything. For small IT functions operating with limited resources, that control is genuinely valuable.
The main friction point is bulk-editing questions after surveys go live, which requires more clicks than feels necessary for simple wording updates. It's not a critical flaw, but the reviewer found it noticeable enough to mention after two years of regular use. For organizations that plan surveys carefully before launch and keep changes minimal, this won't matter much. Those who iterate frequently may find it frustrating.

“Configuration is actually where Know Why earns its keep. Setting…”
Configuration is actually where Know Why earns its keep. Setting up survey flows for different internal audiences (IT, HR, the service desk) is straightforward, and permission levels are granular enough that I can let team leads see their own data without handing them the keys to everything. For a non-profit with a small IT function, that kind of control matters.
The one genuine frustration is that bulk-editing survey questions after deployment is clunkier than it should be. Small wording changes take more clicks than I'd expect after two years of using it. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable.
