At Helsa, our mission is to improve mental health and wellbeing in the LGBTQ+ community by providing research, training and support.

Our research is focused on understanding sexual and gender minority identity formation and its relationship with stress, health and resilience, as well as happiness and fulfilment. We are passionate about understanding how LGBTQ+ identities are emerging and evolving within our ever-changing society, and how we best can support marginalised and vulnerable sexual and gender minority people.

Our training workshops are underpinned by research and focused on providing education and awareness about sexual and gender minority people and the challenges as well as highs we experience in our everyday lives. We offer a variety of different training workshops, targeted at both straight and LGBTQ+ audiences. We believe education and awareness is the greatest tool in combating stigma and discrimination, in both our private and professional lives.

Furthermore, we support LGBTQ+ people in helping them understand their own mental health better by providing wellbeing tools, mental health related content, and a directory of more than 50 LGBTQ+ specialised Helsa partner therapists on our platform.
