What is Fast Hosting Direct?
We use only Dell servers in our web hosting platform, utilising state-of-the-art technology we have built a web hosting platform that is second to none. Our platform is designed in such a way that if any server fails another server automatically and without delay takes over that servers workload. For example if one of our mail servers were to break down, another server would automatically come online, with all the correct configuration and take over the work of the failed server. In this period no email would be lost. As well as this, all data is stored in two large network disk arrays, data is automatically synchronised between the arrays so that in the event of an array failing the remaining array continues to serve data to the servers with no downtime. Strong Data Backup Our network arrays operate RAID, a way of configuring a system so a disk can fail with no impact to data. As explained above we also operate our network arrays in mirrored pairs so a whole array can fail with no impact. Each array is also backed up each night to a separate backup cluster which is then written to tape and stored offsite. I have used this webhosting service for 2 years now and am very happy. As a novice I am delighted with the helpfulness and swift replies from the support team. They have never said no to helping me out with my mistakes especially at the beginning as I had zero webdevelopment experience! I wanted something for the least amount of money because I did not know how the website would be viewed if at all. One of the comments is that one year it's so much to pay and another it's more to pay. I just asked them by email if I could renew my domain for 2 years and they did it. No Problem! Fast Hosting and Replies indeed! I can only recommend this company and whoever wants to pay more for nonexistent service, well than that's your choice...

It's early days, but having bought a web hosting and now a managed VPS plan from Fast Hosting in the past two weeks. I have to say I'm staggered by the excellence of the customer service/support. On average, I've had my (fairly ill-informed) technical queries dealt with within 20 minutes by email. No tickets, no fuss, no automated responses. Just speedy, good-humored responses and fixes. Absolutely no uptime issues so far, all working smoothly. My VPS is all managed for me with a minimum of fuss. Great work Fast Hosting Direct.

I very rarely leave reviews unless they're bad so it's nice to feel impressed enough to write some positive words of praise! I am fairly novice at site creation and hosting but quite handy with computers. What I have is nothing but praise for the service. I have become frustrated with the process of making a website a few times. Each time I have resorted to emailing a plee for help it has been met with an extremely swift, patient and useful response. I have used a different service provider in the past and have had a very different experience of service. Where you can almost hear their sighs and see their eyes roll in their replies which usually come after a few days of waiting. Can't fault these guys!

Generally great. Unlimited hosting (I haven't hit a limit so far so can't tell). No problems with downtime at all. The trouble is when you do need to ask something, the customer service team don't seem to have a great grasp of English and aren't hugely helpful. They offer a two year deal with a free domain for £19.99. What doesn't seem to be mentioned is that you have to renew your domain once a year in order to keep it. So you'll spend £19.99 the first year, £9.99 the second, £29.99 the third etc. It's still cheap for hosting, but it costs more than the £19.99 every two years you expect. Getting them to explain and justify that is like trying to learn gobbledygook.
