(TERMINATED)FashTime is a new social network to compete with the Instagram paradigm. We know it sounds impossible but we think that we can get a toehold initially by fixing four problems on social media: 1) not fair remuneration, 2) like-mania, 3) low attention span, 4) no data transparency. We made the first social network with no likes that rewards the time of its users. As today, FashTime is a social fashion platform for Gen Z. It was the most downloaded app in Italy in June 19.On the app, users get paid for their attention and the value of their post. Instead of the fake Like, FashTime uses a new metric to measure this value – the time spent – which is why users also feel less pressured to post and be authentic. For each second the Network spends watching (fashion) content, the system distributes currency. The currency – called Time Coin (HOTI) – unlocks goods/services, gives rights to a of FashTimes revenues and is tradable. Since the app replaces the Like with the concept of Time, brands know the real interest of a fan, spot true attention drivers to increase sales and leverage the coin to engage and convert more shoppers through exclusive rewards.
