What is WebWalk?

WebWalk is the enterprise business applications arm of NeuStep, an interior mapping company. WebWalk was created to develop and implement client based customization for its popular walk-through technology, also called WebWalk. It is a digital tour that allows exploration of places around the world, through interactive 360-degree panoramic imagery, stitched to create the feeling of being able to walk. The experience carries some similarities to Google Street View, but is tailored for off-street locations. Webwalk is available as a fully licensed as a do-it-yourself software product or as service through our growing network of photographers.

Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews

WebWalk earns trust through reliable, thoughtful configuration that works well for small teams over the long term. The permissions system stands out for its clarity—users can set up access tiers for contractors, photographers, and reviewers with relative ease, and the admin panel, while plain, remains stable across updates. One user reports spinning up new project environments in minutes after five years of regular use, which suggests the core workflow holds up.

The main friction point is bulk-editing permissions across multiple projects, which forces users to configure access tour by tour rather than in a single batch operation. This creates real friction during onboarding cycles, though the reviewer notes it's a known gap rather than a showstopper. For small operations that prioritize stability and straightforward access control over flashy interfaces, WebWalk appears to deliver on its core promise.
