Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Prodsmart delivers useful real-time job tracking but requires substantial setup effort for custom workflows. The mobile app deployment went smoothly and the assigned support rep was initially responsive, yet configuring production order workflows proved more complex than documentation suggested, and support response times dragged during critical setup phases. Users do appreciate the paperless visibility into job status without manual follow-ups, which addresses a genuine operational pain point. However, adoption remains incomplete weeks later, with thin training resources cited as a barrier for teams unfamiliar with manufacturing software. The product shows promise for straightforward implementations, but buyers with complex or customized workflows should expect extended onboarding and prepare their teams with supplementary training before deployment.

Onboarding was a mixed bag, honestly. The setup guides are decent, and the Prodsmart rep assigned to us was responsive in the first few days. Getting the mobile app onto the floor workers' devices went smoother than I expected. But configuring the job tracking workflows to match how our department actually runs? That took way longer than the materials suggested. I hit a wall around day four when certain production order fields weren't mapping correctly, and the support ticket sat for two days before anyone circled back.
The paperless angle is genuinely useful. I can see real-time job status without chasing people down, which was the main thing I needed. Still, six weeks in, my floor team is only half-adopted. Some of that is on us, but the training resources feel thin for anyone who isn't already comfortable with manufacturing software. If you're evaluating this for a department that runs complex custom workflows, budget extra time for setup. The promise is there. The out-of-the-box experience isn't quite there yet.
