I have had no emails and my website is down too. I'm unable to contact namehog by phone and have been left pulling my hair out. The service has all but disappeared.

They were great when they were privately owned now they have been taken over they are by FAR the WORST company I have ever dealt with, they never answer the phone, there are daily issues and now all of my emails have gone down and anyone trying to contact my company receives a response that we do not exist, avoid them at all cost

It is unfortunate and with a heavy heart that I also have to agree with the recent reviews that others are submitting about this organisation. I have been with them since 2008 and have recently become more and more disillusioned about their lack of support, customer focus or concern about the outages that my business is suffering as a result of not responding. It seems that customer loyalty counts for very little with service organisations today which makes me feel a little naïve and abused since I am paying for the privilege of not having a service. A real shame and, as I say having reflected on my review, this is written not in anger but with regret.

Ive been with this company for many years and introduced many of my clients to them but since they were taken over the service is negligible and they do not answer calls or reply to support requests. The phone number doesn't work at all any more and they just say to fill in a support request form which never gets answered. I will be removing all my clients from this company because I waste so many hours problem solving because of Namehog's blatant disregard for their clients. I give a -5 rating. Ive only clicked one star because this web page won't let me go any further without doing so.

I've been with this company for several years and it has been excellent. My email went down last week and so far I haven't been able to get any sense out of Namehog. What a bunch of chancers! I am paying for a service that I'm not getting. My money is being taken under false pretences. Next step ombudsman and the law. Nil stars

I have used Namehog for years. They used to be great. Since they were sold they have become unusable. Servers and email down for days, now no telephone support - they say the lines are down, and have been saying that for at least three days. AVOID NAMEHOG. DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE NOW USELESS. would give them 0 stars but I have to set 1 - the true answer is ZERO!

I cannot justify giving even one star. since the take-over every negative comment has been true for us too. The email is now awful and their response has been hard to get and just seems to be to fob us off with platitudes.

I have been using Namehog for my clients websites some years and they were brilliant. Bryon and Thomas really went out of their way. Since being taken over the phone lines close at 4pm and a few times they haven't answered email queries. I'd ignore any reviews from before January as its not the same company any more.

Just cant agree namehog has rapidly deteriorated since selling their company. Email is down, server is down, support doesn't answer and they are rude. If you want to say goodbye to your money then this is the site for you!

Fantastic Company to deal with! Have been using NameHOG for many years, and have built everything from simple 5 page sites to complicated database driven sites, and everything just works! Its hard to give NameHOG anything less that a 5 star rating, Ive been a customer for about 7 years and I have experienced what the competition has to offer which can only be described as lacking when compared to NameHOG. The interface for everything is well maintained and usable. Its quick and easy to get things done. Support is lightning fast and concise. Its a real pleasure to leave a testimonial for the guys at NameHOG. They definitely get my recommendation.

My last host was terrible. They took my money and the support ended. After a few years of not keeping to their so called 99.9% up time promise, I left them and joined another host and they tried to be helpful, but would not go out of their way to help me.

I cancelled and switched to Namehog last month and keep being amazed at just how helpful a webhost can be. Even today, I found a hiccup, caused by me, on my website, and they have surpassed all of my expectations once again.

My only regret is not signing up to Namehog 10 years ago!

I've been a client of Namehog for 11 years and coming from an IT background I have been quite a demanding customer. Yes, there have been technical issues along the way, yet Thomas and Bryon are always there to help and guide me through problems and willing to help with suggestions and ideas. I now run 10 sites happily on Namehog. There are cheaper options but none with the personal level of attention I get from the guys. Yes you could save £20 a year by going elsewhere - but if you're really serious about business that extra money is well worth investing in a company that is here to help you in the long-term. That's why I'm staying a Namehog customer!

Very impressed with NameHog. I'd accidentally wiped a text file containing 500 names and addresses and discovered I'd also lost my computers back-up file! Put in a ticket requesting help at 01.28 am and received an almost instant human response email ensuring me that it would be done first thing in the morning. At 7.30 am, before I was even awake, I received a further email informing me the empty file had been replaced with a back-up file. Excellent service!

I had trouble installing the email account onto iMac after years of having it installed on Windows. It had given me a headache all day and within minutes the online help sorted it all out, they were very helpful and patient. I just wish I had spoken to them before.

I have run about 20 websites with Namehog for something like 7 years. My experience with Namehog has been a good one. I would especially recommend the service from these guys which is always one to one, on the ball and on the money.
There SLA promise of 99.9 seems about right. Over seven years I only had one major problem when a server gave up, but even that was solved in as long as it takes to plug in a new one, and recover the data from the backups. Chris Coleman.

Next year will be our 10th year with namehog and I can say that without a doubt that their service has been highly commendable. Each year they make sure they invest in the latest technology and when you call for support you get a real person at the end of the phone. They know your name, your website and even your business. Outstanding support from NameHog after a disaster I had this morning when my computer crashed. Outlook crashed and needed a lot of things fixing, NameHog came to my rescue using their new Remote Desktop funtion and spent over an hour fixing it. I am now back up running and in business again! This has got to be the best web hosting company I have used, and I have been in the business for 6 years now. We started off with a professional hosting package and then found we had so many websites hosted with NameHog, we thought it would be best to get a dedicated server. I have to say, their prices are excellent, and the performance of the server is amazing. We have had a couple of issues, of our own making which we needed technical support to fix at silly hours like 4am, and they were straight on it within a few minutes. NameHog have been perfect for us and I’m sure they will do just as good a job for anyone else. Keep it up guys!

Having been with Namehog for many years I can honestly say that they have been the most friendly efficient company I have ever dealt with in any field. Not being very technical I have several times had to contact them for help with my email and they have been so patient and helpful. I can't fault the service I've had over the last 5 years from Namehog. As a professional Internet Consultant we have in excess of 80 websites hosted wth them at any given time (and growing). I deal with lots of hosting companies in my job and none compare for service, reliability or price. We always suggest our clients switch to Namehog from an existing host but it's their choice - the majority do and don't regret the change over. Any issues are handled quickly and in a friendly way, speaking plain English. If any of my customers have need to talk with Namehog they are treated in a professional and friendly manner too. I would never hesitate to recommend Namhog for all your hosting needs - however large or small.

Namehog's customer service is exemplary: not only can you speak to them, more often than not a solution is found while you're on the phone. The Support ticket service keeps track of more complicated problems and the Client Zone gives you easy, intuitive access to every aspect of your accounts.
Are Namehog the best? I don't know but I am sure that I'll not be looking anywhere else to find out. If I were Jim Marshall, I'd give them SIX stars!

Top class services from a company sympathetic to our needs. As a non-profit organization, it was vital that we didn't pay over the top. I have been a customer with Namehog for several years now, I am not a professional web developer, more of a hobby really. I have had several website "ideas" and always used Namehog as I find that it is so easy to set up new domain names etc. and get sites up and running in what seems very little effort and time.

There have been times where I have been stuck and Namehog has been there, sometimes even what I would call late, IE after 6:30pm so the service and backup is second to none, if I know anyone who is wanting a new website, wether or not they want me to have a go and create it I always mention where mine is hosted at - Namehog.

I will continue to be a Namehog customer for the next several years, infact I have just been in communication with them today, thay now have a new chat system (a bit similar to facebooks chat) making it easier to talk directly to a person, problem sorted in 5 minutes flat :-), well actually this wasnt a problem I was talking to them about but I am sure if it was it would still have been sorted quickly.
Anyway, keep up the good work namehog.

As a designer and website developer I have worked with many different ISPs over the years, so I am in a position to judge NameHog against their competitors - and I really wouldn't want to use or recommend anyone else.

When a new client comes along who demands to use their existing ISP my heart sinks. I just know that I am going to have to find my way around a new system and, more often than not, suffer delays trying to get get support issues answered.

So, whenever I can, I recommend NameHog. Good value, reliable service, a good control panel and I know that if I have a problem or question I can talk directly to the team and get it sorted quickly.

The service and support I have received from Namehog over the last 10 years is nothing short of exceptional and wonderfully friendly. Any major problems that have come up have been sorted and nothing seems to be too much trouble - particularly thinking back to some of my earlier silly questions as I learnt more about web design and hosting.

As a Yorkshire lass married to a Scotsman - the prices are great too! I never hesitate to reccomend people to Namehog for their hosting and domain name purchases. I have tried other hosting companies in those 10 years and even if they are cheaper they don't match the quality you get from Bryon & Thomas at Namehog.

I'm a specialist in roofing and building maintenance but when it comes to hosts and servers i didnt have a clue and i only picked namehog because of its weird name and good reveiws.

That was about 7 years ago when the host i was with wanted to charge a big fee just to let me take my own domain name with me ,so namehog stepped in and the host backed down problem solved,Namehog do what they say they will do and when you get yourself in a mess because your really out of your depth and feel a right plank Namehog will sort out the best product for you,and in my case it was a lesser priced product than id asked for.

5 Stars in everythink ask of them providing you open up and be honest in what your looking for even if you dont really know.
