Permissions and workspace configuration are what I spend the most time thinking about in a tool like this, and Zoho Analytics genuinely gets it right most of the time. Five years in, watching our headcount climb from a scrappy twelve people to nearly fifty, I've had to restructure who sees what at least four or five times. The role-based access controls are granular enough to matter. Shared views, folder-level permissions, guest users with read-only dashboards, all of it has held up without me filing support tickets just to figure out the right toggle. That's not a small thing when you're juggling analysts, department leads, and executives who each want different slices of the same data.
The one frustration I keep bumping into: bulk permission changes are clunky. If I need to move fifteen reports to a new shared workspace and reassign viewer access, I'm doing it one at a time. For a growing team that reshuffles every few months, that adds up. Customer support has been decent but not fast when I've raised this. Still, the SQL query layer and the overall configurability keep me here.
