Notion is the central nervous system of our 40-person ops team. We use it for SOPs, runbooks, vendor tracking, onboarding checklists, and quarterly OKRs. The database functionality is incredibly powerful once you understand relations and rollups - I've built dashboards that would have required Airtable plus a BI tool to replicate elsewhere. Page hierarchy can become unwieldy without governance, so we maintain a strict template library and naming conventions. Permissions remain Notion's weakest area; granular access control still doesn't match what enterprise tools like Confluence offer. Search has improved meaningfully in the last year but still misses content occasionally. The mobile app is functional, not great. Onboarding new hires takes longer than it should because the learning curve is real.
