Configuring a CRM for an enterprise rollout is where most platforms quietly fall apart, and Freshsales genuinely does not. After three years of building out roles, permission sets, and territory hierarchies for a large sales org, I can say their admin layer is one of the cleanest I've worked with. Field-level permissions, custom profile types, and module visibility controls all behave predictably. That last part sounds boring until you've spent a week cleaning up a botched permission cascade in a different platform. Here, what I configure on Monday actually works on Tuesday without mystery overrides.
The role-cloning feature alone saved my team hours during our last headcount expansion. I set a base profile, clone it, adjust two or three fields, done. Their support team walked me through a tricky territory assignment edge case last spring, fast and without the runaround. If you're evaluating this for a big deployment where admin complexity usually becomes a liability, Freshsales handles it better than anything I've managed at this scale.
