Solid as a rock. That's the short version. I manage BambooHR setups for several small-to-medium clients across different industries, and in over three years of daily use, I can count unplanned outages on one hand. Genuinely. When you're running HR operations on behalf of clients who have zero patience for "the system is down" on a payroll processing day, reliability isn't a nice-to-have, it's the whole game. BambooHR has never once put me in that conversation. Bugs do surface occasionally, minor UI quirks mostly, but their team patches them quickly and communicates through the update log with enough detail that I can actually tell my clients what changed.
The stability carries across the whole platform. Time-off tracking, onboarding workflows, e-signatures, all of it behaves consistently. I've had clients ask me why everything "just works" and honestly, after years of managing patchier tools, I appreciate the question. If you're an HR consultant or agency managing multiple client accounts, the dependability alone justifies the cost. Everything else is a bonus.
