Migrating a 400-person organization off our old tool was, to put it plainly, terrifying. What surprised me most was how much smoother the Zoho Projects rollout went compared to what I expected. Task dependencies, Gantt views, and the built-in document management handled the load without complaints. The forum module was an unexpected win. My project leads took to it quickly, and it replaced a lot of the scattered email threads that used to drive everyone crazy. The time tracking and billing integration also gave finance a cleaner picture than anything the previous platform offered.
That said, the reporting side leaves something to be desired. Our old tool had more flexible custom dashboards, and Zoho Projects feels a bit rigid there. I've had to work around limitations by exporting data to spreadsheets more often than I'd like. Customer support response times have been hit or miss too, which matters at this scale. Still, for the price and the breadth of features, it's a serious step up from where we were a year ago.
