Performance reviews used to be the part of my job I quietly dreaded. BambooHR's performance management module changed all of that for me about a year ago, and I'm still a little surprised by how much smoother the whole cycle runs now. Goal-setting, self-assessments, and manager reviews all live in one place. Employees actually complete their portions on time because the reminders are automated and the interface doesn't punish them for logging in.
The depth of the feature is what keeps me coming back. I can configure custom review templates for different departments, which matters a lot when my engineering team and my customer success team have genuinely different performance criteria. Historical review data is easy to pull up, so calibration conversations with department heads have become far more grounded in actual documentation. Customer support has been responsive when I've hit edge cases in the setup. Honestly, it's one of those tools that earns its place in the stack pretty fast.
