Five-plus years managing domains for a small nonprofit, and the thing that keeps me loyal is how well GoDaddy plays with everything else we touch. Our four-person comms team relies on a patchwork of tools, Mailchimp, WordPress, Google Workspace, a donor management platform, and GoDaddy connects to all of them without a whole afternoon of troubleshooting. DNS propagation used to terrify me. Now I point a new subdomain, verify it inside Google Workspace, and it just resolves. That part genuinely impressed me the first time, and it still does.
The domain management dashboard has gotten cleaner over the years, which I appreciate. Customer service is hit-or-miss depending on who picks up, and I'll be honest about that. But for the price we pay on a tight education-sector budget, the value is hard to argue with. If you're running a lean team and need your domain infrastructure to quietly support a dozen different integrations, GoDaddy does that well.
