I work with about six different clients at any given time, and Slack is what keeps me sane. Switching between workspaces is seamless, and I can mute channels when I'm not actively on a project so I'm not drowning in pings. The free tier is generous enough for smaller clients, though the message history limit can be annoying if you need to reference something from a few months back. Haven't needed to contact support often, but when I did the response was a bit generic. Overall though, it's an essential part of my freelance toolkit.
