Zodiac was a consumer data analytics company founded in 2015 by PhD statisticians and data scientists from the University of Pennsylvania. The company specialized in predictive customer behavior modeling, focusing on forecasting individual customer lifetime value (LTV) and purchasing patterns. In March 2018, Zodiac was acquired by Nike as part of its strategy to enhance personalized consumer engagement. Zodiac offered services such as predictive analytics, customer segmentation, and LTV forecasting. Its proprietary analytics platform utilized machine learning and statistical modeling to provide real-time customer insights. Additionally, Zodiac developed behavioral analysis tools that helped brands anticipate customer responses to promotions and product launches. Before its acquisition, Zodiac primarily served Fortune 500 companies, aiming to improve direct-to-consumer relationships through personalized experiences. Following the acquisition, Zodiacs technology and team were integrated into Nikes data science division, contributing to initiatives like the NikePlus loyalty program.
