What is SimScale?
Founded in 2012 with offices in Munich, New York, and Boston, **SimScale** is the world’s first production-ready SaaS application for simulation. By providing instant access to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) to over 200,000 users, SimScale has moved high-fidelity physics simulation technology from a complex and cost-prohibitive desktop application to a user-friendly cloud application accessible via a subscription-based pricing model.

Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
SimScale earns consistent praise for making cloud-based simulation accessible without specialized hardware or deep technical expertise. Users highlight the intuitive interface, strong customer support, and ability to run multiple simulations simultaneously from any browser—eliminating the need for expensive local computing power. The collaborative features and rapid feature improvements also resonate across reviews.
The main limitation noted is that some advanced openFOAM functionality hasn't yet been ported into SimScale's interface, slightly constraining modeling flexibility for power users. A couple of reviewers mention that complex simulations can occasionally run into issues, though they note this typically reflects the user's own knowledge gaps rather than software shortcomings.
All four reviewers were satisfied with their experience, and several emphasize that SimScale works well for teams and projects of varying scale. The consensus is that it's a strong choice if you understand your simulation fundamentals, but the software's real strength lies in removing barriers to entry for non-specialists.

Pros: The user interface for this software, coupled with fantastic customer support and training, make it very easy to jump in and start using it to model complex scenarios from day one. The cloud-based computing means that I didn't need to dedicate an expensive computer to CFD modeling, and could run multiple simulations at once while still operating my main computer. Cons: I've used the software primarily for CFD, and there have been a few pieces of openFOAM functionality (which is simscale's CFD backend) that haven't yet been migrated into simscale, so flexibility in modeling is slightly reduced from openFOAM. However, this is greatly made up for by the ease of use of the software and community experience. Overall: Great training and customer support, easy to use interface that didn't require linux knowledge or other specialized knowledge. Ability to run models from any browser without the need for complex comput

I tried it few times and it was working properly. Pros: ease of use, you can have old computer, based on world most powerful solvers Cons: some complicated simulations can have problems But if you will be FEA/CFD analyst, you need to know what are you doing. Conclusion: You need try it, it is based on world most powerfull solvers, so when you know what you are doing, you can get great results with simscale.
