What is Remediant?
Founded in the heart of San Francisco, Remediant leads with innovation, delivering enterprise-class cybersecurity solutions that enable real-time monitoring, zero trust protection of privileged accounts and Just-In-Time Administration (JITA) across IT/Security ecosystems. We protect organizations from stolen credentials being used to take their data, which is the #1 attack vector across all breaches. While the threat landscape continues to evolve significantly, the provider landscape has not. Remediant was created by Tim Keeler and Paul Lanzi in response to changing security needs. SecureONE was developed because available security solutions offered insufficient protection against the increasing threat of state-sponsored attacks. Because most data breaches involve a compromised privilege account at some point in the attack chain, Remediant understands the crucial role privilege access plays in security. Since 1996, every Privileged Access Management solution on the market has been built on top of the concept of a password vault. SecureONE is the first PAM solution to bring the ease of an agent-less and vault-less approach, while also delivering continuous detection of new privileged access across the enterprise. Based on a Zero-trust model, SecureONE ensures privileged access is precisely allocated and continuously inventoried by granting privileged access on a Just-In-Time, Just-Enough basis using two-factor authentication. Remediant strives to bring a new level of control and insight over the distribution, usage, and protection of privileged access in enterprise environments. Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Remediant's agentless, vaultless approach delivers meaningful relief for small security teams tired of legacy PAM overhead. The reviewer switched from a traditional vault-heavy tool and credits Just-In-Time access with two-factor authentication and continuous account inventory for eliminating manual credential rotations and reducing deployment anxiety. After three-plus years, the operational simplicity still resonates—no constant babysitting required.
The main friction point is support responsiveness for smaller accounts. The reviewer notes that ticket turnaround times lag compared to enterprise-scale customers, which stung on a few occasions. That said, confidence in the product itself remained high enough to offset the support gap. For small teams evaluating escape routes from older PAM systems, the shift in philosophy—away from vault-centric management toward just-in-time provisioning—appears genuinely transformative, even if vendor attention scales with contract size.

“Switching from our previous PAM tool was the best call…”
Switching from our previous PAM tool was the best call my small security team made in years. The old solution was vault-heavy and required constant babysitting, credential rotations that never felt trustworthy, and an agent footprint that made me nervous every time we onboarded a new server. SecureONE's agentless, vaultless approach removed almost all of that overhead. Just-In-Time access with two-factor baked in felt like an entirely different philosophy, not just a feature upgrade. Three-plus years in and I still appreciate how continuously it inventories privileged accounts without me having to kick off a manual scan.
The one gripe worth naming: their support response times can be slow when you're a small account. I don't think we get the same attention a thousand-seat enterprise does, and a couple of my tickets sat longer than I'd like. The product itself earns the confidence, though. If you're coming from a legacy vault-based setup and managing a lean team, the operational lift difference is real.
