Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
One.com wins strong praise for affordability and ease of use, but faces serious criticism around misleading advertising and surprise renewal charges.
The majority of reviewers highlight competitive pricing, reliable service, and straightforward setup that works well for beginners and non-technical users. Customer support receives consistent praise for being responsive. One long-term user reports nine years of stable service with no hidden costs, and others appreciate the templated approach and guided tools for building sites without coding knowledge.
However, recurring complaints undermine trust. Multiple reviewers flag deceptive advertisingβparticularly around "multiple domains" packages that require additional hosting fees per domain, and low introductory offers that jump significantly on renewal. Auto-renewal practices and aggressive upsells also frustrate users; one reviewer objected to being charged Β£9 annually for WHOIS privacy functionality available free elsewhere. These concerns centre on how One.com structures billing and market their plans rather than technical performance.
The service appears solid for budget-conscious beginners willing to read the fine print carefully, but prospective customers should scrutinise plan details before committing and budget for year-two costs, which are substantially higher than promotional rates.

Auto renewal is a shock as it's not cheap and there's a 30 day notice period yet trips you into another year. But what's driven me to write this is they are now offering a service for Β£9 a year to make your whois entry private. Something that any private person can do for free bus one time check in a box on the Nomonet site FOR FREE, FOREVER. Scammers ??

Having subscribed to 'professional plus' hosting, which is advertised as 'multiple domains' I discover that this means 'multiple domains if you pay us to host them'. For the beginner wanting reading made websites. not for anyone serious about hosting - and think twice about a company that is prepared to lead you up the garden path with its advertising.

One.com delivers a fantastic product at a price significant lower than anyone else. I get everything I need including a very helpful 24/7 customer service. Many companies trick you in with a low trial price. One.com does similar with the current offer of free hosting and domain for first year (you do pay a Β£10.80 setup fee), however when the bill for second year arrives itβs only around 25Β£. I can highly recommend One.com

I first came across One.com in 2008 and I have been using their hosting packages ever since. The set up is fast, easy and simple to use, and for the more advanced can be customised as needed. The service is reliable, straightforward (no hidden costs) and delivers as promised. I will continue to use One.com for my hosting and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

βI use one.com to host all of my websites. Lotsβ¦β
I use one.com to host all of my websites. Lots of templates all ready and set up, just choose one and off you go. Lots if other things you can add (blogs, galleries etc) complete with step by step guides...perfect for beginner or more experienced. IT geek sorts will want access to the HTML coding but for average man/woman "what you see is what you get" is ideal.
