Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
OceanMD's digital forms and automation capabilities are strong enough to keep users committed for years. The standout feature is the ability to build complex, conditional intake forms that integrate seamlessly with existing EMRs—eliminating manual data entry and scaling clinic operations without proportional staff growth.
The trade-off is a form builder interface that assumes prior knowledge and doesn't always match its documentation. New team members typically need a few weeks to become proficient, and customer support, while friendly and responsive, sometimes requires follow-up questions for clarity. Despite these friction points in setup and training, users find the automation payoff substantial enough to justify renewal.

“Digital forms inside Ocean are the reason I haven't seriously…”
Digital forms inside Ocean are the reason I haven't seriously looked at anything else in over five years. Not just the fact that they exist, but how deeply configurable they are. I can build a multi-section intake form that branches conditionally depending on a patient's answer to question two, pre-populate fields from the EMR, and have the completed data flow right back into OSCAR without anyone at the front desk touching a thing. That loop, once you've tuned it, is genuinely quiet. For a clinic that has grown from eight staff to nearly forty while I've been here, that kind of automation absorbs volume without adding headcount.
My one real gripe is the form builder's interface. It works, but it still feels like it was designed for someone who already knows exactly what they're doing. New staff I onboard take a couple of weeks to feel comfortable in there, and the documentation doesn't always match the current version of the UI. Customer support is responsive and friendly, but I've had to chase clarification more than once. Still, the output quality is high enough that I keep renewing every cycle without hesitation.
