What is Montimedia?

Montimedia Internet is an independent national Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Telephony Provider based in Central Victoria. The business is a one-stop-shop for consumers and businesses for all things Internet & Phone. Our mission is to challenge the bigger players that seemed to have lost touch with the customer and to bring the human element back into the ISP & Telecommunications arena. Originally founded in 1998, Montimedia began life as a supplier of IT support and related services to the local community and beyond. In 2006 we expanded our interests and entered the ISP arena to challenge the bigger players when founder, Richard Monty as an IT consultant, became increasingly frustrated with the major ISP’s that seemed to have lost touch with the customer. Montimedia is now a fully serviced national Internet & Phone Service Provider. We have an absolute commitment to providing a dependable, quality service and strive for high customer satisfaction. Montimedia brings a human element into the arena of ISP’s and builds relationships with each of our customers. We are regionally based and have an understanding of regional community needs. Montimedia is a company driven to provide customers with a complete solution to their entire current and future communication and Internet needs. The company’s customer base includes all consumers and all small to medium sized businesses, including community enterprises. Montimedia Internet is committed to following operational guidelines for the communications industry and as such is associated with the relevant regulatory bodies – The Internet Industry Association (IIA) as well as the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) scheme. Montimedia benefits from several strategic alliances by receiving very competitive pricing on most services, allowing the company in return to offer competitive pricing on its services to customers. One of the main driving forces behind establishing this local ISP and Telco business was this very fact that Montimedia could negotiate better deals for communications costs and pass on the savings. ISPs offer a way for people to enter the Internet. It is unfortunate however that in our regional environment it is easy to get stuck with the wrong ISP when first wanting to connect. The mission of Montimedia was to bring the human element back into the Telco arena by establishing an office in Daylesford to service the needs of locals and beyond thus creating global access locally. Montimedia has already established a reputation for a quality network and first class service to providing internet and phone access to the community. We continue to seek to become a well-known and respected provider of internet and phone solutions by: β€’ Increasing service offerings. β€’ Increasing availability and accessibility to current and future customers. β€’ Creating innovative, unique, and cost-effective solutions to problems currently faced by customers. Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews

Montimedia draws sharply divided opinions, with two five-star reviews praising service quality against one deeply critical one-star account. The positive reviews consistently highlight responsive customer service, with users noting staff take time to explain things clearly and follow up on issues with regular updates. One reviewer contrasted their experience favourably with larger providers like Dodo and Telstra, citing a crisis when a carrier failed and Montimedia's team quickly secured a replacement with frequent communication. The company also offers a callback service for when lines are busy.

The single negative review raises serious concerns, alleging the company is overpriced and accusing it of targeting vulnerable groups like elderly and uninformed customers, framing the business as a scam. This account stands alone in the sample and lacks supporting detail, making it difficult to assess whether the criticism reflects a widespread issue or an isolated grievance. The stark contrast between reviews suggests either highly variable experiences or a fundamental mismatch in customer expectations.
