Genius ERP is a very comprehensive, module based solution. It integrated our time keeping requirements for production, our Engineering drawings, the Estimating and Quoting functions, Purchasing, and Accounting. It truly is enterprise wide software. It is a very logical interface to understand, and integrates well with our Payroll platform. Cons - If there was a Payroll option, it would be complete! We needed to customize reports for our environment, which was understandable, but outside the initial project scope. Alternatives Considered - Dynamics 365 Reasons for Choosing Genius ERP - The ability to have the software on premise, or in the cloud as the local (Canadian) support were the difference makers. Reasons for Switching to Genius ERP - The original software platforms were outdated and could not be upgraded. They also had limited functionality, without the ability to be leverage enterprise wide.

The pre-V11 release planning module is not very user-friendly. However, this module seems to have been improved in V12 and seems easier to use. "Powerfull and complete ERP system! Godd support during integration" What do you like best? I like the userfriendly interface that support a powerfull planification and MRP system. We saw a big increase in material consumption control. What do you dislike? The only down side is there are very few customisation that can be done in the system. There is a helpfull tool called GTA (Genius task automation) that palliate this but it does not show in user interface. Recommendations to others considering the product: I would highly recommend Genius for any manufacturing facility. their support during integration is way beyond what we expected. It integrates our time keeping on the production floor with Accounting, quotations, scheduling, and Estimates to have a single portal to view all info What do you dislike? The out of the box solution is very good but we did require customized reports to be developed Recommendations to others considering the product: Highly recommend the software and support What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Genius has dramatically decreased the time it takes for us to estimate, quote and produce projects. As well we have live views of project costs and a client history. We are more efficient in the production process and manage the data electronically from a single platform.

What do you like best? Very complete solution for manufacturing business. Can fit other type of business as well since since it can be customized according to the type of business. What do you dislike? Nothing to dislike, but like any other ERP, you need to put a lot of effort to keep it clean. No more round corners. As they say, garbage in, garbage out. Forces us to be more rigourous. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? What do you like best? Being in custom manufacturing, I really enjoy the ease of WIP, labor and cost tracking in Genius. We have been using it for a few years now and cannot imagine going back to other softwares. The ability to accurately track labor, material and time is paramount for us to quote future projects. Genius make this process very easy, we can look at predecessors and use that for quoting future projects. What do you dislike? Like all softwares we have used I wish there were buttons I could move, and screens I could consolidate. Recommendations: They have a very through implementation process, and will help you get the most out of the software. They are also very quick to respond to support requests, and seem very interested in improving future versions to make the software better for you. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have been targeting our lead times, and maintaining original quote dates.
