Hosting package fine but when I came to cancel the package I slipped up - I cancelled the domain renewal but forgot about the hosting. Company refused to refund the £24.99 + VAT. Seems to me they are on a shoestring if they can't return such a small amount for an unwanted, unnecessary service. 'It's your fault,' they said, and it's true - I fell foul of the small print. But to me that's no excuse for what is effectively taking money for nothing.

“Regretfully my main domain name is with this pathetic excuse…”
Regretfully my main domain name is with this pathetic excuse for a company. I received no notice whatsoever by email, post or telephone to inform me the domain was due for renewal and then they just cut the domain with no grace period or again with no contact. If you want very poor service at a far from being the cheapest prices and no come back when things go wrong then pick these people!

I have been using freevirtualservers for about 5 years to host all of my domains and my 2 main websites. I have used 2 other hosting companies in the past but freevirtualservers is easily the best of the 3. They are great value, especially for the small business. They offer a small free hosting package, this is great value but the support, understandably, is limited. The paid hosting is also the best value I can find anywhere and the support on that is fast and I usually get the right problem sorted out. I would recommend this company to any person starting a small business on the internet on a budget.

This company is so unhelpful I have send them tickets and try to sort out our website. Its business hours and we got no response from them whatsoever our site is not working and they are hosting the website. The thing you can do is just submit the ticket and watch them helplessly no one even bothered to tell what is the problem and its happening not just today on weekend the site was down.

After+exceeding+my+bandwidth+in+the+first+3+days+which+I+was+not+aware+of+(I+thought+it+referred+to+visitors+bandwidth)+my+website+was+shutdown.+I+realized+that+this+was+not+a+suitable+webhosting+package+and+asked+if+I+could+get+a+refund+on+my+£21.58+(yes+that+right,+free+my+arse,+a+setup+fee+not+mentioned+prior+to+sign+up)+and+I+was+sent+prices+on+upgrade+packages+which+avoided+answering+the+question+and+tried+to+upsell+more+stuff+to+me. A+few+emails+were+exchanged+and+I+didn't+find+them+very+helpful+or+friendly+and+the+whole+thing+was+a+waste+of+my+time.+If+you+are+going+to+advertise+free+hosting+you+should+clearly+state+there+is+a+setup+fee+as+not+to+mislead+people.+Then+you+don't+break+trade+description+laws+and+fool+people+into+buying+your+product.”
