Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Domo earns strong marks for dashboard ease of use, connector breadth, and mobile reliability, though pricing and support consistency divide opinion.
Users consistently praise the card-based dashboard interface for speed and intuitivenessβmany report building functional dashboards in under an hour, even without BI experience. The connector library stands out as a genuine differentiator, with reviewers highlighting 1000+ integrations that handle Salesforce, Slack, Google Sheets, and legacy systems without heavy customization. Mobile access is repeatedly cited as genuinely useful, not a compromised mobile version. For small teams and nonprofits, the ability to go live quickly without dedicated IT staff matters a lot. Beast Mode, Domo's SQL-based calculation engine, earns particular praise from technical users who value transforming data without waiting for engineering cycles.
But real friction points emerge in scale and support. Several reviewers report inconsistent customer support response timesβsome get same-day help, others wait daysβand a few mention support reps who assume user error before investigating actual bugs. Permissions and admin workflows, while powerful, feel clunky in spots. Pricing generates mixed reactions; some negotiated favorable nonprofit rates and call it transparent, while others find it steep relative to value, especially when integrations require ongoing babysitting or when scaling across growing organizations.
Reliability and data lineage tools earn quiet confidence from daily users, but the platform's frequent feature updates sometimes outpace training resources.

βOnboarding client number fifteen onto Domo last month felt almostβ¦β
Onboarding client number fifteen onto Domo last month felt almost routine, which would have sounded absurd to me five years ago. The connector library and role-based permissions have made it genuinely painless to spin up new workspaces, keep client data siloed, and hand off dashboards without rebuilding everything from scratch each time.
Scaling across a growing team is where Domo quietly earns its keep. New analysts on my side get productive fast. Clients actually log in, which is not something I could say about the tools we used before. A few certification features still feel clunky, but that's a minor gripe.

βRobust BI Platform for Technical Users What do you likeβ¦β
Robust BI Platform for Technical Users What do you like best about Domo? 1. Domo allows for the creation of tailored data experiences. As a Domo creator, you have great flexibility and control over what the user sees, and how the user can interact with the data. 2. It is easy to automate user managment on Domo, even at large scales. 3. It is easy to create new content on Domo. New creators can be trained with little effort. 4. Domo has an abundance of visualization types to answer the vast majority of business questions. There is also the option to create custom visuals with D3 Bricks. 5. Domo has excellent customer support, with teams available at all times to help with technical and nontechnical issues. 6. Domo has extreme flexibility with regard to ingesting and writeback of data. Tools like workbench, webforms, and file uploads make it easy to get data into the system. Email reporting is reliable and helpful. 7. Data lineage tools make it easy to maintain complex dataflows. 8. Magic ETL is straightforward to use and easy to maintain. Notes and comments can be left at each step allowing for documentation of rationale behind business calculations. 9. Smart text is very helpful for displaying the latest time of dataset updates, informing the end user of recency of the data. 10. Jupyter integration allows for sophisticated manipulation and visualization techniques. 11. Doc cards allow for the embedding of business procedures into Domo. Version history is included with this feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Domo? 1. There is a high start-up cost (capital and time) to establish a useful data warehouse. 2. Internal proccesses and procedures must be created and maintained to ensure that all Domo creators on the instance are creating cohesive content. 3. Once the schema for a dataset is created, it is hard to alter. Changing column names has a ripple-down effect though downstream content including datasets and cards, breaking content. 4. The alerts are relatively simple, preventing the user from creating alters / triggers on detailed data events. 5. Domo requires the use of a mouse, which slows down development times. 6. Domo lacks the ability to mass-edit content, applying similar changes to multiple cards or dashboards at once. 7. Dashboard management is clunky. The order in which dashbaords appear on the left ribbon must be determined manually. There is no option to rank dashboards alphabetically, etc... This is only a problem if the instance has many dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you? 1. Business facts: Sales, inventory, headcount, etc... Helps maintain and enforce a single source of truth. 2. Report automation 3. Analysis: Efficient Staffing, YOY performance, geographic location of customer base, etc...

βDomo is powerful and intuitive, but good luck getting yourβ¦β
Domo is powerful and intuitive, but good luck getting your bugs fixedWhat do you like best about Domo? Domo is one of the most powerful and intuitive platforms I've ever used. Their propritary no-code Magic ETLv2 transformation software is brilliantly fast, helping run day-long SQL transforms in as little as a few minutes. What's nice about Domo is it is a full end-to-end soltuion. It provides the connectors to pull data from thousands of APIs, the transformation tools to get that data into a form that is usage and combine it with other data, and the charting software to display that data in clean, effective charts with proper governance to ensure consumers only see what they need to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Domo? Domo's customer service is some of the worst I've seen for a SaaS product. Their customer service reps are very non-technical and don't understand the product very well. Worse is they operate under the assumption until proven wrong that your using the product wrong, instead of their being an actual issue. In additon, Domo rarely roles out improves to preexisting features and seems to ignore product feedback from customers on the whole. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you? We use Domo across our businees, from marketing and sales to finance and accounting. We've found Domo most useful in creating curated reports for users to consume their data in a centralized place, in an easy to understand manner. But we also use Domo to power any data in our other systems like managing active users, automatically creating expense reports, and keeping projects synced from one system to another.

βUnified data What do you like best about Domo? Domoβ¦β
Unified data What do you like best about Domo? Domo makes it easy to bring data together from multiple different sources and locations and present it in a way that's easy for business users to consume. The interface is very easy to use from a data engineer's perspective through to a viewer of dashboards. The ability to discuss the data in context via Buzz is a great feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Domo? There are a small number of admin related tasks that are not as intuitive or easy to complete as per the rest of the product, but this is only a minor complaint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you? Domo has enabled us to bring data together that was not previously possible without some element of custom development/integration. β"I've used all the big BI tools, but Domo isβ¦β
"I've used all the big BI tools, but Domo is my tool of choice all the time" What do you like best about Domo? Domo has 2 objective reasons why I like it: 1) Everything is in the browser. I don't need to download any programs so if my computer is lost or damaged, I'm still good. Very easy to implement. 2) The Connectors. Domo literally has +1000 connectors and other tools like PowerBI and Tableau have around 80. If these were all ingredients, think about what you could make with 1000 ingredients vs 80. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Domo? The connector guides could use a refresh, but they have some videos now on how to use them so that's nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you? Having a pulse on the business. We can pull in finance, sales, ops, HR, marketing and a bunch of other metrics and we just have visibility at all times.

βGreat way to create excitement around data What do youβ¦β
Great way to create excitement around data What do you like best about Domo? Domo can create visualizations and options that are just not available in other similarly priced BI tools. Doesn't require a statistician to run - Simply someone who understands the data and the questions being asked of it. And built-in integrations between common data platforms make implementation easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Domo? Although easy to use, nuanced visualizations take some time to develop when you start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you? Educates internal and external clients about their data quickly and with a level of flexibility
