Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Remote Desktop Manager is overwhelmingly praised by users as a comprehensive, time-saving connection management tool that consolidates remote access, credentials, and documentation in a single secure platform. The vast majority of reviews are five-star ratings spanning users with years of experience relying on the software daily.
Users consistently highlight the broad protocol supportβRDP, SSH, SQL, VPN, FTP, and many othersβas a key strength, along with the ability to organize connections through folder structures and share them across teams via centralized databases. Features like automatic VPN dial-before-connect, session recording, MFA, audit logging, password aging reports, and customizable macros are frequently mentioned as valuable for both security and efficiency. The add-on marketplace and flexibility for scripting and automation are praised for extending functionality further. Support responsiveness and continuous product updates also receive consistent positive mention.
Pricing emerges as the only notable criticism, with a couple of reviews noting costs could be lower, though most accept the value as justified. A few users express wishes for additional entry types (like AnyDesk), but these are isolated requests rather than systemic gaps. The free version is acknowledged as genuinely useful with substantial functionality.
Overall, the community response is exceptionally positive. Multiple long-term users (some over 10 years) report they cannot imagine returning to previous tools, and many have adopted it across multiple employers. No significant usability, performance, or reliability complaints surface across the 50 reviews.

Pros: Swiss Army Knife of Tools for SysAdmin, a great tool, which includes all the management tools in a single application for System Administration, especially like the SSH and RDP for managing all remote servers from single pain of glass. Cons: Pricing could be cheaper! But all VMware vExperts get it for free! Overall: It's an excellent software application, well maintained with lots of updates and new features. I've spent many hours importing all servers and devices we manage remotely.

I first heard about RDM about 4 years ago, unfortunately i didn't pay much attention at that moment. About 2-3 years ago, as the number of devices that i have to manage increased i looked for software to help me. I tried all kind of apps for about 3 months, in the end i decided to give RDM a chance. It was the best decision i could make. I liked the idea of ??a single application to be able to access the various devices (and operating systems) that I need to manage (from password management, grouping devices according to the desired category, client or managed service). I also liked Devolutions Force, I think that it's a community of professionals from whom I have already learned quite a lot, a growing community, to which I hope I can contribute also.

βWorking in a large environment with many different IT groupsβ¦β
Working in a large environment with many different IT groups using different tools, we were constantly struggling with keeping passwords in sync, lack of documentation, and tool sprawl. We needed a solution that allowed multi-user access, a centralized database so everyone had consistent data and role-based access control with logging. We chose Remote Desktop Manager for both its features and its affordability. We liked it because it allowed us to share information quickly and easily. Our information security team liked it because it allowed for MFA login protection, logging, session recording, and password aging reports. It's rare that InfoSec and IT agree on anything, but Remote Desktop Manager is one of those tools that everyone will like when they start to use it.
