ConsensusDocs

A coalition effort of more than 40 leading construction associations to publish standard construction contracts that identify and utilize best practices and fair risk allocation to advance the best interest of the project. ConsensusDocs publishes more than 100+ standard construction contracts that address all project delivery methods and was the first to publish a contracts addressing integrated project delivery (IPD), building information modeling (BIM), and subsubcontracts. A comprehensive update was published in January 2011. ConsensusDocs has also taken a lead role in being the first to publish a federal subcontract that addresses the latest FAR rules as well the only to address risk allocation issues associated with green building design and construction. Beginning in April 2012 ConsensusDocs® users are able to work on their standard construction contracts using Microsoft Word® on a PC or Mac as the result of an upgraded new web-based platform launched by the coalition.
