Chowbus is a technology company based in Chicago, Illinois, founded in 2016 by Linxin Wen and Suyu Zhang. Initially, it focused on providing an online food ordering, payment, and delivery platform for authentic Asian cuisine, serving over 20 cities across North America, Canada, and Australia. The platform featured group ordering, scheduled deliveries, and real-time tracking to enhance the customer experience. In 2022, Chowbus shifted its focus to developing Software as a Service (SaaS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems for restaurants. This transition was solidified by the sale of its food delivery service in January 2024. Chowbus now offers comprehensive restaurant management software that helps streamline operations, reduce labor costs, and increase revenue. The companys POS system is utilized by over 2,000 restaurants, supported by 24/7 technical assistance and ongoing product upgrades.
