When looking for an easy to learn, solution to help me schedule and collect payment for my clients, I tried the three or four names that everyone in the industry passes around. I didn't have much time so it really had to be something that I didn't have to invest too much time in and that I could use in a couple of hours. There comes Acuity to the rescue! I was so impressed by the simple, attractive design that I decided to try the tool for my own uses (scheduling software usability sessions). It has dramatically improved my workflow and makes it so much easier for participants to find a time that works for them, without lengthy back-and-forth communications. As a UX expert, I want to mention that Acuity's admin tools are very easy to use and the feature set is comprehensive. The free version has been great and I'm now looking for budget to upgrade my plan!

I heard about acuity scheduling from the Mixergy Podcast. The features are great, you can sync it with your standard calendars and it automatically takes into account different timezones. It's a great way to get potential customers to take the last step of organising a time for a call, especially if they are in a different timezone, because it holds their hand through the process of seeing when you are free and what the corresponding time in their timezone is. The design of the page that you give to your clients is clean, profession and customisable.

I was tired of going back and forth to set appointments that always ended up scattered. I gave Acuity a whirl and found it not only easy to use for both me and my clients, but that it really helped me organize my week better. What I do is schedule 2 hour blocks throughout the week that I am willing to take appointments. This helps me block them together an not stress about being interrupted with random appointments throughout the day. I should also mention that my assistant set up my account for me and even styled it up on her first day of the job. She wasn't familiar with any type of scheduling tool and it didn't take her very long at all to get things setup, including paid appointment options. I've been in there to set my schedule and make further adjustments and one it is safe to say that Acuity is VERY simple to use. Why didn't I sign up sooner?
