"We took our time procuring a CMS, but made the right decision for us."

Comments: The template training in Ludlow proved most useful at the start of our association with Zengenti. This gave us the confidence to quickly develop templates and configure the CMS. Without this, I can see how it may appear complex - especially if this is your first experience of a comprehensive CMS.

Pros: Contensis allows us to fulfil our business goals. For example, by using the Enterprise edition on a cloud hosted platform, we have been able to support our associated businesses and currently have 18 projects (websites) in the CMS. Cloud hosting allows us to concentrate on our responsibilities rather than the working environment of the CMS itself. This also encourages us to regularly upgrade. The intrinsic search worked well straight out of the box and is easily refined to produce good results. Permissions can be assigned at high level or down to individual folders on the template or even a content type.

"Excellent value CMS and hosting package"

Comments: The strong workflow enables different groups of users to edit individual sections with varying levels of approval. Has enabled us to reduce the number of pages on the site and increase the quality while maintaining a high degree of control and flexibility.

Pros: Strong workflow, excellent visual previewing, excellent image API, good development direction, good custom extensibility.
The Management API enables us to import content from other systems simply and effectively.
The move to content modelling, with a Delivery API has opened up possibilities for displaying content in multiple formats (we are currently exploring an Alexa Skill).

Cons: Page editor can be fiddly for new users.
Recent switch to content modelling is still lacking some of the features of the page model and the two do not interact fully (more of an issue for existing sites).
The old style page templates make it harder to change the site design
