The other reviews I have just read are correct!

I have been paying a lot of money to names co to host my e mail account.

I got a call this morning saying that I had exceeded my storage and my e mail would be suspended immediately unless I paid the man money.

I suspected phishing / scam call. I logged into my control panel, and can find nothing there about storage, how much I am using, how much I am allowed, no upgrade options.

Then moments later, my e mail account is completely suspended.

Online queries takes more than 24 hours to be answered.

I am on hold now, for more than 46 minutes, just like the other posters, trying to get my business e mail to be working, worrying about my clients who are sending e mails and getting no replies from me! Incredibly bad for my business.

This is a company with incredibly awful support and dreadful practices, and even their online panel is incomprehensible.

Over three years, the e mail consistently doesn't run, because the SMTP main out and mail in ports and passwords just don't work very well with Apple Mail, and so iPads and phones and Mac computers just keep being unable to connect.

The frustration is awful and the lack of any support makes it even worse.

We were obliged to go to Namesco to be able to continue to use our demon email.
Then our email went off and no warning and I have tried for 2 days now to phone through and I have requested online support and no one answers.
This is the worst IT company I have ever used.
Do not use them if you do not have to.

We were obliged to go to Namesco to be able to continue to use our demon email. I was told before we signed up that we would get all the help we needed to set up our new e-mail accounts. THIS IS A LIE!!! It is SO frustrating. I've had 3 calls answered after 40 minutes each where the person was unable to help. I'm on hold at the moment - nearly an hour!!!!. Still not able to set up accounts on my computer. A complete disaster. I would give no stars 1 is too many!

If you value your online business then avoid this company. They are very keen to contact you to upgrade your hosting but then when they inadvertently delete your site and you try to urgently contact them, then you can't get through via online support, emails or especially on the phone. They don't care that because of their ineptitude, they leave your website down for 24-48 hours - loosing you valuable orders & your reputation. They don't answer the phone for half an hour while you are on hold & when they do they simply cut you off. Absolute nightmare company who simply don't care about their paying customers.

I am appalled as well at the after sale service I have received from Names.co.uk To sum up my recent experience my business was brought to it knees, their response was lame, and during the tenure of paid for SMTP service, my service was stopped so that their support team could do what they should have done before shutting me down which was to clear-fully check their records. I suspect someone in Names.co.uk has the job of drumming up more wallet share from existing customers. Maybe in their charter they are allowed to hold customers to ransom until they get more out of them but based on my experience, I will be moving to another provider soonest.

Namesco was exactly what I wanted out of a web host! It was extremely simple to get my site up and running and provided me with all the tools necessary to do it effectively and efficiently. The pricing is fantastic and their level of customer service is unmatched in web hosting. I will definitely be hosting more sites with them.

I had my website hosted with Namesco for several years. I was very happy with the competitively priced service compared to the hosting we were using. The customer service was second to none. I called them up and spoke to someone who knew what they were talking about straight away. Opened a support ticket in business hours and got an answer back in an hour. More recently the prices have gone up and the service levels have gone down. Now you spend half an hour on hold to speak to someone who can't help and support tickets take over a day to even get replied to. They offer a lot of cheap prices for taking out hosting with them i.e. 50% off. But then when it comes to renewal times the prices jump up more than that 50%. I eventually moved my site to another host who were both cheaper and much quicker to deal with support issues, even though they were located in the US.
