Research shows that companies investing in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities are more successful and profitable than those overlooking this aspect of their business. With younger generations looking for employers that are socially responsible (80% state the company’s CSR as one of the top criteria when choosing a new job), having a coherent and well managed CSR programme is every company’s priority. At the same time, however, there is a widespread lack of trust in charities and their ability to bring about change in the society. This perceived lack of transparency within the charity sector often is a lack of resources, as far too many charities do not have the money or skills to use expensive, complex systems to run their operations.
