I've used Freeparking for many years (probably around 15) - I found the control panel easy to use. Maybe it's dated but it was simple to use and did the job I wanted. I even provided a service to a few friends doing a bit of website design and registering domain names with Freeparking. I used the email services extensively. The new system is baffling however. For whatever reason I can't send emails from my Mac mailer although I can still receive them. My only way now is to send them through the archaic feeling web app. I'm just trying to set up a domain divert with no success whatsoever. I certainly won't be doing any more work for friends through Freeparking - It's a time consuming ordeal! Why, why, why did they change to this new system. I feel stuck with it as I'm reliant on the registered names. I certainly wouldn't recommend Freeparking which is sadly a complete U turn on my feelings before the system upgrade!!

Even one star is not deserved - they have stolen almost £2000 off me!!!!

They were only supposed to take £19.98 for two domain renewals. Their site mucked the procedure up, did not complete, I was not given the usual verification. I thought the procedure had crashed and not completed. I found out later that it had stripped the decimal point out and taken £1998.

I echo everything everyone else says about the shambles it is now - I have had SO many other problems and they simply do not reply.

There is no longer a phone contact on the site either.

I had previously been a satisfied customer for 12 years.

Disappointed with service. Too slow and hard to get resolution when I had email issues.

I see they do not charge vat but have "UK servers" according to their website. I guessing most of their business is in UK and have staff in UK.

Someone told me they could be doing a "Starbucks" on the tax side!

Freeparking client for 14 years.. old control panel looked dated but worked really well & customer service was amazing WTF happened!! I've been without email service for 3 businesses for nearly a month with no explanation ..... What's happening guys

I joined Freeparking at the start of this year as it offered free email addresses with the purchase of a domain name. In May they said they were migrating to a new webmail service, then I discovered that I would have to pay for my email addresses - which I don't mind. What I DO mind is the fact that they have failed to transfer over ANY of my emails that were sitting in my in box or ANY of the subfolders that I had created to file my emails once I had read them. Their website claims to have many backups in place to save our data, yet to date NOTHING has been restored. They have lost ongoing threads regarding disputes, certificates, invoices - everything I normally store by email. All I keep receiving from them is an email with apologies and instructions on what to do - which would work IF MY EMAILS WERE THERE but they aren't!
My new emails are coming through but that's it. TERRIBLE!

My issue is even worse. I can't log into my account, even when support sends me a new password (even though none of my log in details were changed) I am tearing my hair out . Totally appalling. One star is far too good for this lot

Well it would appear that Freeparking have created a firestorm all by themselves.

Having been a client for 12 years I agree the old control panel was a dream and support used to be OK if not stunning.

However the new panel is awful and doesn't work and the changes to T&C's isn't at all to the customers benefit quite the reverse. It is with a lot of regret I am also considering moving my 20 domains away if I can ever find out how??

Time changes things and at present FP are in a bad place and I couldn't recommend them to anyone - as it just doesn't work anymore! One star only very begrugingly..

I resent having to give them even one star. They used to provide an acceptable service but every negative review here is a description of what I am now experiencing. To make matters worse, their assistance is required in transferring domains, so good luck trying to move. (I am in the process of moving to GoDaddy whose help number is easy to find and the staff on the other end are super-helpful.)

NO STARS...... same problem as most people. had a domain with them for about 7 years and used about 6 pop accounts which were totally part of the deal. now that theyve switched they put me on the bussiness email with no warning and locked me out of the forwarding section so i cant even deal with the problem. still waiting for the response about sorting this out but they have gone quiet. terrible terrible customer service and not worth your money. look elsewhere for your domain services

No stars. They "upgraded" the software/service and now its worse then ever. They removed as part of the upgrade elements of email forwarding without telling anybody which now means its fails constantly, their DNS service fails, the new control panel is rubbish. DO NOT USE. They are a joke

The Migration has been a disaster, prior to that I liked them, my domain names rested there I pointed to my web sites and their free email , although not unlimited was great, but now I get intermittent access to my account and domains and only one mail account is working, my business is getting phone calls saying your emails are bouncing back to us at a time when I am sorting out contracts, I'm afraid it looks as though I've got to move.

With every Freeparking domain registration you get:
•Unlimited FREE POP3/IMAP Email Accounts
•Industry leading management tools
etc. etc.

I have one domain and 5 email addresses and have experienced all the problems mentioned in previous reviews. And with no warning I have been 'upgraded' to business email at I can't remember how many pounds per year. And I am told they expire on 13th June (today) but I can't do anything about it as my temporary passwords don't work and neither does support at weekends (not that it worked before!). Also their UK website is not accessible.
So yes, less than 1 star!

I have a feeling people only tend to note problems on reviews so I am redressing the balance somewhat. My own experience is that Freeparking has offered a good service for many years and yesterday is the only time I have experienced any problem, with an email outage - restored within a few hours.

They don't even deserve 1 star! This is withoubt doubt, the most appalling company I have ever dealt with, or should I say tried to deal with, as most of your support requests are completely ignored and that's assuming that your email is working so you can actually contact them! As soon as email and domain names are working again, (they've been down the whole morning), I will be transferring everything, as it's impossible to run a business like this.

Doesn't even deserve 1 star! Absolutely awful company, we've been left without email for 9 days during their supposed upgrade. No customer support, no updates, seems like they've done the world a favour and f***ed off for good. Says UK company, but servers in USA, so your data is probably backed up with the NSA or CIA.
SHOP ELSEWHERE, avoid these morons!

What on earth is going on?!?
I have numerous accounts and have been a loyal customer to FreeParking since 1999.
Suddenly, I don't matter any more? Although I have made a connection with someone on a helpdesk, nothing has happened. There doesn't seem to be any urgency for dealing with my urgent need to have access to my domains, or if they are trying to help me, they are not explaining what they are doing.
The whole thing is a total, very worrying shambles.

Another long time customer with Freeparking.co.uk let down by the 'upgrade'. After more than a week of chasing I still haven't had any sort of useful response and my emails are failing. I want to leave, but even that isn't an option as their 'transfer out' option was showint a 404-error until yesterday, and is simply timing out today.
Just shocking how quickly the service has fallen off a cliff and how little they care to communicate what they're doing to fix it.
How do I leave them?? That's the only question I now need answered.

absolutely shockingly appalling recent service. Ive been with you for years and not had any issues until now I cant access my emails there are very unclear instructions as to how to adjust or fix these issues. Also after several asking for help requests I have recieved nothing. Unless this is resolved soon I will be leaving and taking my business elsewhere.

I have up until now been very pleased and happy with their past service but now! come on and help those customers that have been with you for years and give us access to out emails. The information that you gave us in advance is of no use as it doesn't work..

My experience has been like all the others. I have no website and no email. Its appalling service...actually its no service at all! They obviously have serious issues and can't be bothered to tell us...back to trying to get my website up again...up till 1:00am last night trying to do this.

Argh!!! Since the recent migration I have not had access to emails either sent or received!! My partner who pays for the domain has left 3 emails/tickets and apart from the usual automated response nothing what so ever. Nominet gave me a number which is now not working. Come on freeparking let your customers now what is happening!

Supposedly Free Parking have 'migrated' over the last weekend. Hopeing this would be an improvement I opened their new webpage which turns out to be 100% worse than the old one. No obvious way to get to Domain settings, though I did eventually find it after going through help pages! But worse than that none of the Domain names I have registered with them are redirecting to where they are hosted. Contacting support I get the usual automated reply, then nothing (as others have said). Two follow up emails later and still nothing. If I was a large on-line business I would be losing thousands. As it is I manage a handul of websites for smaller businesses and they're tearing their hair(s) out! If Fee Parking can't run a proper business they shouldn't be allowed to do so! Anyway, I'll be moving all my business away from them (after more than 10 years), that is if I can contact them at all!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID. they don't deserve anybody's business!

Having been with free parking since its conception .I was utterly dismayed to see the customer service go down the pan. Whilst trying to start a new charity I was unable to get a support response to websites and hosting I had purchased. I have found other contact details and companies which I will publish on the web

Our email went down on Friday shortly followed by our website. We have been with FreeParking for 10 years without any problems. However on Friday we tried to contact them to see how long our mail and website would be down. This is when we realised that there was absolutely no way of contacting them other than sending them an email. All you get in response is an automated reply that your email has been received and then NOTHING. After sending several more emails with no response and doing everything possible on their Supprt pages, with many of the links on those support pages having error messages we decided to immediately move our domain to a new Registrar. We chose one that had 24/7 telephone support and a non-premium UK telephone number. After 36 hours of total frustration with Freeparking our new Registrar had us transfered and up and running again within 6 hours. If you are with FREEPARKING at the moment my advice is to GET OUT NOW, because when something goes wrong you'll get no help what so ever.

They just ignore requests our site has been redirected to WRONG for ten days.
Keep asking them to put it right.
They cannot be trusted can anyone suggest a better service to park and host this site.
They hide behind a security wall. I believe that they should be investigated by Board of Trade because of the many complaints from UK firms

Useless support. Spent three months sending them messages and emails, all ignored. Eventually got the problem solved but only by getting the registry on the case to do it for me.

Freeparking are utterly useless as a registrar of domain names.

They may be cheap but there are other companies out there that offer much better services at better rates, sure if you just want a domain pointed at a blog website then it suffices (bar the many outages they have been having lately), anything else and you are wasting your time.
The control panel would constantly spit out errors and on some, such as mail and TXT records, ludicrously they are unavailable but still present to click. I contacted the help desk for information on this and I was advised not to use them and instead try a different method which didn't have the option I required.
I've had a website hosted with them for some time now that didn't require any special attention or setting up but when I realised I needed to make a change, the lack of content was staggering.
Considering they have been around for so long this is is pretty poor.

Would give 0 stars if possible.

We have been a customer for many years now however over the past 12 months the service has declined dramatically. Mail and DNS services suffer regular outages leading to us missing emails from clients and losing possible business with our website being down.

We have had 4 outages in the last 30 days and by outage I only class that as the service being down completely for 8 hours or more - there are numerous times a day where mailboxes suffer server timeouts for up to an hour at a time or we receive email several hours after it was sent to us after checking the headers on the mail.

Final straw was at the start of the month when we were down for almost a week with support ignoring several urgently marked support tickets (no phone number contact btw only an email address that is no use when your email is down or an online system that goes down when their DNS does). Took messaging their Managing Director on twitter to get a response from support. From looking through his and his companies twitter feed we're not the first to have to resort to this and I doubt we'll be the last.

Some of the guys in support are very helpful but getting through to them is an absolute nightmare and it's clear their infrastructure is not up to scratch or fit for purpose and what support staff they do have are clearly overworked.

Needless to say we're in the process of migrating all of our domains to another registrar.

Business critical website has gone down after FREEPARKING messed up the domain renewal. Support acknowledges the receipt of a ticket, but has done nothing to help as yet. Moving registrar ASAP, wish I'd noticed the lack of support phone lines before now.
