After several long months waiting for EKM to complete the migration of our website, we've called it a day and have move to a new platform, a quality platform with quality support. We originally had a store that was in the final stages of completion (setting up merchant services etc), but with the 'help' of EKM, we have been left with a site missing images, a spattering of products and no help in sight.
-Sales: told us that there would be no problem with our migration.
-Support: Non existent really. Initially we were told that the migration would take a matter of days as each site was migrated in turn. So after two weeks and no sign of any progress, we started contacting support daily only to be told that a ticket had been raised and a member of the support team was looking in the problem with our migration. We managed to speak with Ian Gibson once, only to also be told that they are working one the issues we had raised. It's been a couple of months now and other than the work we have carried our on the database, categories & theme, there has still been little work done on our site by EKM.
In conclusion, EKM appears to be a platform with good potential. However, with the current inept support staff who don't seem to have a working knowledge of the platform, we believe it is destined for failure....but I'm told that "EKM are looking into this and someone will give me a call back shortly" sounds familiar...
